Weekly Slow Flow + Yin
Join us every Wednesday evening throughout May for a grounding Yin Yoga practice at the Shala. as part of our May Challenge Month. This weekly offering invites you to slow down, soften, and settle into stillness creating space to unwind midweek and reconnect to your body and breath.
Yin Yoga is a quiet, introspective practice that focuses on longer-held, floor-based postures (3–5 minutes), gently targeting the deeper connective tissues of the body. As a complement to more dynamic practices like Ashtanga, Yin offers a chance to balance effort with ease, cultivating patience, awareness, and inner calm.
Classes will be guided by Michele Archibald and Nancy Prévost-Maurice, who each bring a thoughtful, supportive presence to the space. Michele’s teaching is rooted in accessibility and care, while Nancy’s approach emphasizes connection, softness, and mindful exploration.
This class is suitable for most levels. Props are encouraged and provided to support your practice.
What to Expect:
A slow, floor-based practice with longer-held postures
A calm, quiet atmosphere for rest and reflection
Supportive guidance from experienced teachers
An opportunity to balance and restore midweek
Bonus points for May Challenge participants
Please arrive on time, as late entry may not be permitted to maintain a safe and uninterrupted space. Come as you are, and take this time to soften, release, and restore.
