Philosophy Circle with Kimber + Carolyn
The Niyamas : The Practice Within
Join us for our next community Philosophy Circle with Kimber and Carolyn, following Led Primary. This month, we’ll turn our attention toward the Niyamas, the second limb of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga.
While the Yamas explore how we relate to the world around us, the Niyamas invite us to look inward to our habits, attitudes, self-study, and relationship with practice.
Together, we’ll explore the five Niyamas and consider how these teachings might be practiced not just on the mat, but in the small, everyday choices that shape our lives.
Rather than a lecture, this will be an open and welcoming conversation. Bring your questions, experiences, and perspectives, or simply come to listen and reflect with the community.
What to Expect
- An exploration of the five Niyamas
- Conversation around bringing these teachings into practice and daily life
- Space for questions, reflection, and shared experiences
- A relaxed, open discussion for practitioners of all levels
Whether you’ve been practicing Ashtanga for years or are just beginning to explore yoga philosophy, you’re welcome to join us.
Your Teachers:
Kimber and Carolyn are longtime practitioners and teachers at Ashtanga Yoga Victoria with a shared commitment to continued study, practice, and inquiry. This Philosophy Circle is an opportunity to explore the deeper layers of yoga together through experience, conversation, and community.
