Bring your questions or simply come to listen. Topics are shaped by the community, with submissions welcomed in advance look for the question box at the front desk. Whether you’re wondering about philosophy, practice, or how yoga meets everyday life, this is an opportunity to connect beyond the physical practice.

Meet Paul:
Paul is a dedicated practitioner and teacher at the shala, known for his thoughtful, grounded approach to both practice and philosophy. Since beginning Ashtanga in 2013, yoga has been a central force in his life, supporting him through personal challenges and shaping an ongoing search for meaning and purpose.

He completed his 200-hour training at AYVic and has studied with teachers across North America and Europe. Outside the shala, Paul is a professor of religious studies and Director of the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at UVic. His work explores the role of spirituality in public life, and he is the author of Yogalands: In Search of Practice on the Mat and in the World (2025).
