Invert: Fundamentals & Foundations of Hand Balance
Ready to turn your world upside down?
Join Seline Taye for a two-hour workshop exploring the fundamentals of handstand and hand balancing. Whether you’re completely new to inversions or looking to refine your existing practice, this workshop offers a supportive space to build strength, awareness, and confidence upside down.
We’ll begin from the ground up, exploring how alignment, strength, and body organization come together to create a more stable and sustainable handstand. Rather than simply trying to “kick up,” we’ll break down the foundations that help make inversion practice feel more accessible and intentional.
Through preparatory exercises, wall work, alignment techniques, and balance strategies, you’ll learn tools you can continue to explore in your own practice.
What to Expect
- Warm-Up & Preparation: Exercises to prepare the wrists, shoulders, core, and body for inversion.
- Alignment & Activation: Explore key points of alignment and muscle engagement for a strong foundation.
- Wall Work: Use the wall as a learning tool to develop awareness, strength, and confidence.
- Spotting & Safe Exits: Learn practical techniques for entering and coming out of handstands safely.
- Finding Balance: Explore strategies for shifting weight, organizing the body, and finding your balance upside down.
No previous handstand experience is required. All levels are welcome, whether you’re taking your first steps toward inversion or looking to refine your existing handstand practice.
