New Moon Tea and Meditation
As we step into the Lunar New Year, we are invited to reflect on the themes of transformation, growth, and renewal. This year, in particular, is the Year of the Snake — a symbol rich in meaning. In many spiritual traditions, the snake is a powerful symbol of shedding old skin and emerging renewed. In this spirit, we are excited to invite you to an intimate and transformative experience: a Kundalini-inspired Cha Dao Tea Ceremony and Meditation.
The Dance of Kundalini: Awakening the Serpent Energy
In Yoga, Kundalini is often described as a spiritual energy coiled at the base of the spine, symbolized by a serpent. The snake represents life’s cycles, continual transformation, and the potential for profound personal rebirth. Just as the seasons change and the earth renews itself, so too can we shed our old patterns and awaken to a higher state of consciousness.
The serpent’s energy, often linked with themes of growth, change, and spiritual awakening, mirrors the natural rhythms of the world around us. It calls us to tap into our own inherent power of transformation, shedding what no longer serves us, and emerging stronger and more aligned with our true selves.
Cha Dao: The Way of Tea as a Path to Presence
Cha Dao, or the “Way of Tea,” is more than just a ritual—it’s a practice of self-cultivation and mindfulness. Tea, as an ancient medicine and a catalyst for deep meditation, offers an opportunity to slow down, connect with the elements, and awaken to the present moment. In a world that constantly demands our attention, the humble act of drinking tea can become a powerful practice of stillness, contemplation, and inner peace.
This special Tea Ceremony, designed to honor the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake, will offer a sacred space for participants to dive deeper into their own journey of transformation. Through the shared experience of tea, we will collectively tap into the energy of renewal, allowing ourselves to release what we’ve outgrown and open up to new possibilities.
The Ceremony: An Intimate Gathering for Transformation
This isn’t just a tea ceremony—it’s a gathering for deep presence and connection. Limited to just 8 participants, this intimate space will hold room for genuine communion with yourself and others. We’ll come together to anchor stillness, dive into meditation, and create a collective energy of renewal.
Guided by Sara Jade (SJ), a devoted practitioner and teacher of yoga, breathwork, meditation, and the healing arts, this ceremony will be a journey of presence and awakening. SJ brings a unique blend of humility, humour, and deep wisdom to all of her offerings. With her nurturing presence, you’ll be guided through this immersive experience, which includes not only the sacred act of tea but also moments of reflection, stillness, and spiritual connection.
SJ’s journey with Cha Dao began in 2016, and she has since embraced tea as a profound teacher and shamanic practice. Through her teachings, you’ll discover how the ritual of tea can help deepen your meditation practice, cultivate mindfulness, and sustain longer states of presence.
